IPAR Initiative for Public Art Reston

Reston Rondo articulates the interplay of urban scale postmodern architecture and the prized natural environment of Reston as founded in 1964.  The forms of the sculpture are clean and elegant with an organic quality that evokes natural images.  The relationship of the piece to the grassy plane of the site is enhanced by the contoured bluestone paving, which visually anchors the sculpture.  In 2015, the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival featured two dance companies who choreographed and performed dance pieces in and around Reston Rondo.
